People who are responsible for designing and implementing the food safety internal audit system at their workplace.

The Learning outcomes of Internal Auditor Training focus on equipping participants with the skills, knowledge, and methods necessary to conduct effective Internal Audits for quality compliance and continual improvement. The key Learning Outcomes are:
- Understanding the role of an internal auditor in maintaining compliance, improving processess, and ensuring risk managemet
- Define the purpoase, scope, objective and importance of internal audits in organizational management systems
- Gain knowledge of relevant standards, or industry specific standards
- Learn the requirments for planning, consucting and reporting internal audits
- Understand how to define the scope and objectives of an internal audit
- Develop the ability to create an audit plan, including timelines, checklists, and resource allocation
- Learn how to conduct audits in accordance with auditing standards, including:
- Opening meetings
- Evidence collection through interviews, document reviews, and observations
- Identifying non-conformities and areas for improvement
- Develop effective questioning and communication skills to engage auditees professionally
- Gain the ability to accurately identify and classify non-conformances (major vs. minor)
- Learn to document findings in clear, concise, and objective audit reports
- Understand how to apply a risk-based approach to auditing, focusing on critical areas of impact
- Learn to identify opportunities for process improvement and system enhancement
- Develop skills to communicate audit findings and recommendations to management and other stakeholders
- Gain confidence in conducting closing meetings and presenting findings constructively
- Understand the legal and regulatory requirements relevant to the audit scope
- Understand the process of verifying the implementation of corrective actions
- Gain the ability to assess the effectiveness of corrective actions in addressing identified issues

One day theory and one day practical internal auditing exercise including role plays (presentation at an exit meeting). No written exam or off course assessment.
